This large glass bead is based on a find from Menzlin / Germany and dates between the 9th and 10th centuries. Only one shard remains in the find. Whether this glass bead was actually used as a whorl has not been proven, but the reconstructed size suggests it.
The colors are coball blue with white thread overlay.
The weight of the whorl is 20 g.
All glass beads offered here are handcrafted after extensive research and then slowly cooled down in the digitally controlled tempering furnace. This guarantees a long service life for the glass bead when used appropriately.
