This pearl is a replica of found objects from a burial mound in Staraya Ladoga, a Slavic border area with Finno-Ugrian and Varangian inhabitants.
Ladoga (Russian Ладога) was one of the most important trading ports in Northern Europe between 750 and 950 AD.
All glass beads offered here are handcrafted after extensive research and then slowly cooled down in the digitally controlled tempering furnace. This guarantees a long service life for the glass bead if used appropriately.
