This figure was designed after a Viking original find of a small bronze figure from around 1000 AD, which was found near Akureyri in Iceland.
This jewelry amulet with the Germanic god Thor, on a chair. His weapon, the Thor's hammer Mjolnir, is depicted in his beard.
