mask of Aarhus ear studs

The earrings are delivered including the buckles, which are also made of real silver.
These ear studs are based on a motif on a rune stone from Moesgaard / Denmark, near Aarhus.
The motif is commonly referred to as "Odin's mask". Others want to see Thor or Loki in this portrait. Unfortunately, there are no references to gods in the associated rune verse.
"Gunulv and Ögot and Aslag and Rolf had this stone erected after Ful their comrade, who ... found death when (the) kings were fighting."
Unfortunately, it is not clear which battle it is ultimately about.
Various mask stones can be found in Denmark. There they are commonly referred to as "troll stones". Many myths and legends are entwined with these stones. Perhaps these masked stones represent the protective spirit of the respective place.
