This pendant is made after a representation from Aska in Sweden, from the 10th century. It most likely shows the goddess Freya (Freyja / Freia).
She is the goddess of love and marriage and is invoked for fertility and a good harvest.
The leader of the Valkyries is allowed to take the first (!) Half of all fallen warriors on the battlefields with her to her farm (Volkwang).
The other half goes to Odin and moves into Valhalla.
In return for the rich stories about life after death in Valhalla, nothing more is known about the whereabouts of the fallen in Volkwang.
