Replica of the early medieval bird fibula based on a find in Uppåkra / Schonen / Sweden.
This Iron Age bird fibula presumably depicts a raven. These birds were often featured in art and jewelry in the Vendel and Viking ages as companions of the god Odin.
This raven brooch was made of high quality bronze and is also available in real silver. A variant is also available in silver and bronze as a pendant (see pendant here in the shop)
Dimensions of the bird fibula: 5 x 2 cm.
The early medieval raven fibula was probably used at the neckline of the garment (tunic, etc.). But also a light cape can be closed well with it.
The fibula is provided with a sturdy needle.
